Procedures
Class Representative Elections – June 2 and June 4
All students are encouraged to run for class student council representative. Student council involves four class representatives from each grade.
Step by Step
- Once the class has gathered, students must be nominated to run for student council (self-nomination is fine).
- After students have been nominated all candidates must deliver a short (1 min max) speech to the class describing why they will make a good student council member. In the event that only 4 people are running no vote will be necessary but all candidates should give a 1 minute speech.
- Following all of the speeches, there shall be a maximum 5 minute question and answer session that would allow any student to ask a candidate any question regarding their potential position on student council.
