Evaluative Phase

March 31st, 2010

Third phase overview. The third volitional phase involves a final assessment of both quantitative and qualitative progress. The same the indirect flexibility tests used during the second phase and a final qualitative journal reflection regarding the impact this new behavior has had on my experience cycling and stress levels should be completed. The results will be compared to the initial quantitative flexibility scores and quantitative assessments.

Evaluation. The central motivating factor for undertaking this project is to address pain in my calves, hamstrings, and lower back while cycling. If the second qualitative assessment reveals significant reduction or elimination of pain during training and club rides that will indicate the project has achieved the desired outcome. Other lower priority gains may surface in the quantitative flexibility tests or qualitative stress related reflections.
